Thank you and happy new year

December 31, 2011

Just to send the hugest of huge thank you’s and a raft of warm wishes for 2012 …

Today was a rare (recently) full day away from the hospital and it felt wonderful to be ‘normal’ for a day (back at 8am tomorrow) … but I had a haircut, lunch with my brother, looked at prams, had pancakes with a wonderful friend (look what she’s done)  and later a curry (yum yum yum) … and we had a glorious dusky walk and watched the sun go down on 2011. Just home now for the first time ever to see the new year in with mother and Jools Holland on the TV and feeling very peaceful – if a little sleepy (but I will stay awake!!)

2012 will bring come what may drastic changes to my life and the next few days will dictate quite when and how those changes are to manifest themselves … perhaps 12 days from now, perhaps this week our little Spaniard will appear … and hopefully whatever has been ailing the little soul will be found and dealt with … and we can all move forward into the brave new world that it’s presence will bring … if we are lucky. Thoughts and love to friends that have had traumatic times in 2011 – and also to all who have been there for me, for us come what may … you have no idea of the strength you’ve given me. Thank you…

wishing you the happiest of new years, the safest, most joyful, most exciting, healthy and rewarding 2012 – with love Ellie and The Spaniard xxx
