Hope in hospital

March 19, 2012

Poor little Hope is in hospital … spots came and slight fever but she was incredibly restless and couldn’t be comforted and screamed and howled … had to take Mum to doctor for her broken wrist this afternoon and asked the Doc to look at Hope too … her pulse v high and she just poorly, did various tests and said take her to A&E and rang ahead to talk to Pediatrician.

So – went along, rushed through next thing she had a canula in, blood tests and so on then they said they had to do a llumber puncture and made me leave the room – they tried twice but she too distressed and wriggling. She’s now admitted … I have a pull out bed next to her.

This is not fun and not good … poor little baby girl. I’ve never felt so helpless in my life … just keep loving her and feeding her … and there’s poor Mum at home with a broken wrist.

aaagggghhhhhhh

and sigh : (

Deep breath Ellie. You’re all where you need to be. An abundance of prayers and strength going out to Hope, you and your mum. xoxo

Aw, Ellie. Thinking if you and Hope. She will be okay, but I can empathise on how helpless you feel now. She’s in the best possible place. She’s your kid, therefore strong and awesome. All the best. I’m thinking of you both. X

So sorry to hear this Ellie. Poor Hope….and yes, it’s horrible and we feel sick to our stomachs when our children are ill….but they are so resilient and often bounce back within hours. As my Mum would always say…”I’ll say a little prayer”. Get well soon Hope xx

Feel so helpless as well, all we can do is to think positive things for the three of you. Poor little Hope and poor you as I know what that helpless feeling is like
Love, hugs and prayers from us both, just shout if we can do anything

Ellie – such a lot going on for you. You are a strong person, you come from a strong person, and you are giving to a wonderful little girl. I understand your wanting fix things for Hope – as a Mum, you’d turn yourself inside out to do it. Allow yourself your “me moments” too – you need those. And take full advantage of your support network. Thinking of you all.
